My relationship with the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications started seven years ago as the liaison for the Undergraduate Advising Center.  This experience offered an opportunity to familiarize myself with the dynamic and engaging academic and co-curricular opportunities available through the J-school, while teaching seminar courses as the Scholar Advisor for the Mount Oread Scholars Program.  My career in education started with teaching seventh grade English in New York, which feels as far off now as taking seventh grade English.  Accordingly, how plans change and how people develop fascinates me, which is why I love working with undergraduate students as they hone the transferable skills that will make them happier, autonomous, and purposeful people.
