The Governor's Internship Program is a competitive experience designed to give college students and professionals the opportunity to work directly in state government and make valuable contributions to Kansas.

Students will be exposed to the real decision-making processes and engaged in projects that utilize their abilities and enthusiasm. In addition, all interns will meet for professional development, networking and other interactive events featuring governor's office senior staff, cabinet secretaries and the governor.

Internships cover a variety of disciplines ranging from graphic design to policy, communications to health care, revenue to agronomy and more.

How to apply
Apply online at www.governor.kansas.gov under Serving Kansans and Internship Program. Due to the high volume of interested applicants, the Department of Agriculture has earlier deadlines specified on the program webpage. For all other applicants, the deadlines are Dec. 31 for the spring, April 1 for the summer and Sept. 15 for the fall.
