Baker University is seeking applicants for a part-time graphic designer to work from the campus in Baldwin City, Kansas, 20 hours per week.

The graphic designer is a member of the creative services team within the marketing department, charged with building brand awareness and the brand image to various audience segments through multiple channels. As part of this team, the role serves the entire university community, including admissions, advancement, alumni, academic departments and athletics.

The designer's primary responsibility is to design digital and print pieces for a wide variety of audiences; to provide design expertise and assistance on special projects; and to assist in creating, updating and maintaining a cohesive look to Baker publications and multimedia marketing and communications. Work is performed for all four of the university's schools: College of Arts and Sciences, School of Professional and Graduate Studies, School of Education and School of Nursing.

A bachelor's degree with emphasis in graphic design or a related field is required along with proficiency in current versions of programs in the Adobe Creative Suite. Ability to work in HTML and WordPress is highly preferred. Those with a background in illustration and/or copywriting are encouraged to apply.
