About SRC
The Senior Resource Center for Douglas County implemented a complete rebranding campaign, with updates to be agency name, logo, website and internal publications. Part of this rebranding included an updated mission to refocus the agency to provide resources, information, opportunities, and advocacy that enhance the quality of the second half of life.

SRC recently returned to our downtown at 745 Vermont Street after a major renovation. This is an exciting time to be involved with marketing and communications with our agency as you will get hands-on experience handling day-to-day communications for our agency to be involved with ongoing communications planning and strategies. The senior population in Douglas County, adults age 60+, is one of the fastest growing segments in Kansas, with growth of over 24% over the last six years and 10,000 adults turning 65 every day across the country. This is a great opportunity to work with a niche audience and gain real world experience to add to your portfolio.

Past interns have utilized their experience with SRC to gain featured internship opportunities with agencies in New York City working on national campaigns.
