KOLN/KGIN is accepting applications for a full-time Morning Newscast Producer in Lincoln, NE.  You will be the primary driver of the Market’s #1 morning newscast, finding and producing compelling, important stories that driver viewership.

Duties Include:

You’ll need to be a competitive self-starter, who can work well independently, as you will be working an overnight shift, away from the structure of a normal news day.

You must be able to think strategically about the content in the two-hour morning show, winning and carrying over viewers throughout the newscast. You must be able to collaborate effectively with the rest of the morning team, and contribute to a fun, but competitive work environment.

You must be comfortable with all platforms of digital journalism, from newscasts, to web posting, to social media, and push alerts.  Occasional on-air opportunities may be available to the right candidate.

Qualifications include:

Broadcast Journalism experience, College Degree or equivalent job experience in a journalism related field.  You must possess exceptional writing ability; have leadership skills, and exceptional news judgment.  Professional knowledge of news operations is required.  Position would require permanent residence in Lincoln, Nebraska.
