Assistant Director of Digital Content


This position is the primary creative designer (still/graphics) for CUSA. This position will produce creative visual/digital content for Conference USA social media platforms and other uses as needed.

Duties and responsibilities

• Lead the production and design of creative content (still graphics) for distribution on league's current social media channels

• Serves as the principal graphic designer for projects from conception through production; research, strategize, conceptualize, propose, and design creative projects for electronic, print, web and interactive media

• Serve as the secondary contact for day-to-day management of CUSA social media profiles

• Oversee and implement production of visual elements as standalone content or in support of Conference news

• Works autonomously to ensure projects are completed on time and identifies new projects to further the Conference USA brand

• Create visual CUSA brand identity for use in digital content, both still graphics and video/broadcast

• Adhere to branding and style guidelines for CUSA, member institutions, media partners and corporate sponsors

• Develop templates to streamline creative process whenever possible

• Employ strategic design thinking to craft inspirational design outputs in alignment with project goals, organizational brand guidelines, content marketing plans, and sponsorship activation strategies

• Collaborate with digital content team to create visual content for league initiatives and tell the story of CUSA

• Work with communications/marketing/branding teams to help identify and communicate CUSA messages and stories visually through website as well as traditional and social media platforms

• Work in collaborative environment to develop new ideas and establish visual brand voice

• Some travel to championship events required

• Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience Needed

• Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years experience in collegiate athletics or related field required

• Candidate shall have proven the ability to plan, develop, execute and engage in effective social media plans

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills

• Can work independently and as part of a team environment and on collaborative efforts

• Possess knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or equivalent graphics software
