Director of Marketing and Communications
Baker University seeks applicants to fill a Director of Marketing and Communications position in the Office of Marketing and Communications. The Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for executing differentiated marketing and brand and communication strategies for Baker University. Serves as an advisor and subject matter expert to the Executive Cabinet and Deans related to the design and implementation of marketing strategies, campaigns, and messaging, as well as enhancing the Baker University brand and reputation awareness. Serves as a member of the President’s Cabinet. Represents the university with key external stakeholders including community, corporate constituents, and foundations. This position develops and maintains relationships to promote Baker University that result in generating partnerships, gifts, and an increased positive awareness of the university.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred; three to five years of experience in the areas of marketing, communications, community relations, and/or constituent relations or a combination of these areas; proficient project management and organizational skills with extreme attention to detail and accuracy; higher education leadership experience preferred; demonstrated leadership skills including management experience.
