Job description
Help shape the future of live music in Lawrence, Kansas, working for historic venues downtown. As the marketing coordinator, you'll be responsible for crafting and executing engaging strategies across various platforms to promote concerts and live events at multiple venues. You'll work closely with the marketing team to develop compelling content that resonates with our target audiences to help amplify our presence in the market and drive ticket sales.

Responsibilities
• Develop comprehensive strategies to promote upcoming live music events for multiple venues, ensuring alignment with overall marketing objectives and brand voices
• Collaborate with other team members to develop and produce engaging content for the venue's websites, social media channels, email newsletter, and other platforms to attract and retain audiences
• Manage social media accounts, including posting regular updates, responding to comments and messages, and monitoring engagement metrics
• Create and implement effective advertising campaigns across social media and other various platforms
• Provide reports on social media and advertising metrics to management, highlighting successes, challenges and opportunities for improvement
• Stay up to date on the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing, particularly within the live music industry, and incorporate innovative ideas into our strategies
• Segment audiences based on genres, past ticket purchases, and engagement levels to tailor messages and improve relevance
• Create, plan, and implement targeted email campaigns to promote upcoming shows, events, and special offers
• Coordinate with artists, bands, and event organizers to ensure accurate and timely promotion of their performances and events
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with other local businesses, local media outlets, and other key stakeholders to expand our reach and enhance our online presence
• Act as a brand ambassador for the company, actively engaging with fans and followers online and fostering a sense of community among our audience
• Assist with on-site event coordination and management as needed, including overseeing promotional activities, coordinating with vendors, and providing support to event staff and volunteers
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or a related field
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks, contributing to the high quality and reliability of work output
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to take initiative and exhibit self-motivation by identifying potential challenges early and developing solutions independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling copy and communicate effectively
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences, as well as best practices for content creation, scheduling and engagement
• Experience managing social media accounts for a brand, preferably within the entertainment or hospitality industry
• Passion for live music and events and a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
