Digital Media Intern


As a paid digital media intern, you will assist Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with various digital communications projects. You will work under the supervision and guidance of the media facilitator to assist with the pastoral overall strategic execution to ensure the church's message eloquently reaches the two campus - in-house and virtual. Your duties will include developing digital content according to project guidelines and goals, using congregational feedback, and handling digital platforms like websites and social media pages. Besides that, you'll help with sound production and promotion techniques for audio distribution outlets while developing and implementing marketing and brand strategies.

Duties and responsibilities

• Utilizing software to edit live events that record multiple video streams

• Think creatively and develop a robust photo and video library for printed and digital content

• Capture engaging photos and create videos to support the creative process of marketing content

• Assist with managing church's social media content calendar while monitoring the social media channels and activities

• Utilize digital mixing console (Behringer X32) to produce recordings and provide sound reinforcement for live and pre-recorded events

• Other duties as assigned

Required skills

Technical competencies


• Basic computer competency in operating MacBook and Windows PC

• Proficient in photography techniques, including lighting, audio/video editing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (expert ability in using PowerPoint a plus), Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, and video editing software

• Familiarity with livestreaming software (Boxcast, StreamYard and Zoom)

• Knowledge of ATEM Mini Pro

• Knowledge of Renewed Vision ProVideoPlayer (PVP) and ProPresenter or willingness to learn

• Basic technical aspects of mixing, recording and mastering sound for digital cinema

• Skilled in operating Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K

• Manage LED Video Wall Display

Professional Competencies

• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor, direct ministry team, other ministry staff and congregations

• Ability to learn quickly and multitask
