Biography

I grew up in Lawrence and have been a Jayhawk all of my life. I earned my bachelor’s degree in history from KU in 2002 and my Master’s in Higher Education Administration in May 2020.  Except for three years I spent in Indiana in the mid-2000s, I have been at KU as either a student, staff, or both since 1998.   As is the case for most folks working in higher education, I stumbled into it, but found a passion for working with students and love helping them navigate college at my alma mater.  In addition to advising, I have been on Staff Senate, advised an IFC chapter for five years, taught a few freshmen seminars, facilitated Colors of KU, Jayhawks Give a Flock, and SafeZone Trainings, am a Social Justice Fellow, and often teach LDST 301.  I love sports, movies, television, and music and love to talk about all of the above.  Send me an email or drop by and let’s chat.  Rock chalk!
