Marketing Intern
Time Commitment: 20-25 hours week at Overland Park site, 5200 Metcalf Ave., Suite 301
Compensation: $15 an hour with potential to be a full-time position after spring semester.
Marketing Intern (Senior Candidate) – Responsibilities & Tasks
Core Responsibilities
- Support the planning, execution, and tracking of marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels
- Coordinate marketing projects to ensure timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met
- Maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials and communications
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, design, product, leadership) and external vendors
- Analyze campaign performance and prepare reports with actionable insights
Campaign & Project Coordination
- Assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns (email, social, web, print, events)
- Manage marketing calendars and campaign timelines
- Coordinate with designers, copywriters, and agencies on asset creation
- Track project progress and follow up on deadlines and approvals
- Organize promotional events, trade shows, and sponsorships
Content & Communications
- Draft and edit marketing copy for emails, social media, websites, ads, and presentations
- Schedule and publish social media content across platforms
- Maintain website content updates (blogs, landing pages, product pages)
- Ensure messaging aligns with brand voice and campaign goals
Digital Marketing Support
- Assist with email marketing campaigns (list management, testing, deployment)
- Support SEO and SEM initiatives, including keyword research and basic optimization
- Monitor social media engagement and respond or escalate as appropriate
- Help manage paid media campaigns and track spend and performance
Analytics & Reporting
- Track KPIs such as engagement, leads, conversions, and ROI
- Compile weekly/monthly marketing performance reports
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis
- Maintain marketing dashboards and CRM data accuracy
Administrative & Operational Tasks
- Manage marketing assets, templates, and documentation
- Coordinate vendor contracts, invoices, and budget tracking
- Maintain contact databases and distribution lists
- Support marketing operations and process improvements
Qualifications & Skills (Typical)
- Strong call to immediacy
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Familiarity with marketing tools (CRM, email platforms, social schedulers, analytics)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Attention to detail and deadline-driven mindset
