JMC alum interviews movie stars for social media campaign

Emma Greenwood (j'21) had the opportunity to represent her company, Hill’s Pet Nutrition, on the orange carpet during the Garfield movie premiere in May. Greenwood called her experience at the premier interviewing movie stars such as Chris Pratt an “exhilarating and unforgettable experience.”

Cuyler Dunn receives White House Correspondents' Association Scholarship

Cuyler Dunn is the 2025 University of Kansas William Allen White School of Journalism & Mass Communications WHCA Scholarship recipient. In addition to financial assistance, Dunn will travel to the annual WHCA dinner in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, April 26, be featured at a scholarship luncheon on Friday, April 25, and be paired with Steve Holland, a White House correspondent for Reuters and a former WHCA president, for a year of mentoring.

JMC student Chad Cushing qualifies for Hearst Photojournalism National Championship

Senior JMC student Chad Cushing has qualified for the 2025 Hearst Photojournalism National Championship, earning second place nationally for his most recent photo story. Cushing placed second in the Photojournalism II Photo Story featuring Texas Christian University (TCU) basketball player Hailey Van Lith.
