Communications Specialist


The Opportunity: Hawaiian Bros Island Grill, a rapidly expanding restaurant chain, is seeking a driven and dynamic Communications Specialist to support various internal and external communication initiatives. You will play a key role in engaging, informing, and connecting our franchisees, restaurant staff, corporate employees, and investors.

Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate closely with the Director of Corporate Communications to develop engaging content for internal communications, including weekly CEOP presentation(e.g., "The Film Room") and other core communication tactics.

• Support the creation and management of executive-level communications, including presentations and messaging for internal stakeholders and external partners.

• Assist in developing external communications, including press releases, media pitches, and coordinated responses to media inquiries.

• Prepare detailed submissions for industry awards and recognition opportunities, highlighting company achievements.

• Work cross-functionally to capture and share compelling success stories, company updates, and brand highlights.

• Measure content effectiveness through analytics and stakeholder feedback, recommending strategic adjustments for enhanced engagement.

• Coordinate with graphic design resources as necessary to maintain consistent and engaging visual communications.

Qualifications:
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to consistently meet deadlines.

• Comfortable with and curious about leveraging AI tools for content optimization.

• Experience in communications, journalism, marketing, or related fields.

• Self-starter who thrives independently and collaboratively.

• Strong analytical skills; ability to interpret data and feedback for continuous improvement.

• Familiarity with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp or Constant Contact (preferred).

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is a plus, though design support is available.

• Alignment with Hawaiian Bros' vision and culture, authentically integrating our values into communications.

Compensation:
• Competitive hourly rate starting at $20 per hour. Initially 8-10 hours per week, with potential for growth based on mutual fit.
