Qualifications: Ability to interact in a fast-paced public relations setting. Excellent organizational skills and oral and written communication skills are mandatory. Must be detail-oriented and able to juggle several tasks at once.
Job description: We are looking for (two) interns to assist with general public relations activities, including distributing press materials, updating database press lists and editorial calendars, collateral materials, press clippings for clients, writing press materials, etc. Interns also have the opportunity to participate in media events when there's an opportunity to do so. Interns will have the chance to work in all practice areas of the company - film, home entertainment, corporate entertainment, digital and television - to ensure a broad spectrum of experiences. Applicant must be completing their undergraduate requirements and commit to a minimum of 2-3 full days per week (workdays M/W/F or T/TH from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. or 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States and based in the Los Angeles area during the time of the internship.
Start/End Date: May/June 2025-August/September 2025 (exact start/end dates are flexible to the student's schedule)
Description of tasks: Research, compile press coverage for MPRM clients, build press lists, join company brainstorms, join client calls, draft press pitches or releases, attend/work events (virtual and in-person), etc.
Training: Students will have the opprtunity to work closely with PR professionals to learn real-world applications of communication strategies. MPRM employs a "hands-on" approach to the internship process and provides instruction on the basic tasks of an entry-level publicist, including distributing press materials, updating database press lists and editorial calendars, maintaining our library of publications, collateral materials, press clippings for clients, writing press materials, and more.
Learning outcomes: Students will walk away with a basic knowledge of the tasks required of an entry-level public relations professional.
