Multimedia Journalist Intern
KOAM is looking for an MMJ intern. The MMJ (Reporter) Intern has taken journalism and writing classes and is interested to learn more about working in media. Experience with collegiate news production is not necessary. The internship would be primarily focused on reporting skills, shooting, and editing video, writing scripts, coordinating with many members of the KOAM newsroom and working toward putting content on the air. Position could also include shadowing other newsroom team members. There is no "normal" schedule in a newsroom, so expect to work odd hours, including weekends or evenings, approximately 20 hours/week. We will be respectful of your college course schedule in your weekly internship schedule. This is a great way to get your foot in the door and could lead to more opportunities in the newsroom.
