News Content Producer Intern

KOAM News Now is looking for a college student passionate about becoming a news content producer. Experience with collegiate news production is not necessary but having taken writing and/or journalism classes is preferred. KOAM will teach the right candidate news judgment, urgent writing and showcasing skills. You will also learn to develop and organize a newscast; write and showcase for broadcast; and work closely with news managers and assignment desk to determine content needs. There is no "normal" schedule in a newsroom, so expect to work odd hours, including weekends or evenings, approximately 20 hours/week. We will be respectful of your college course schedule in your weekly internship schedule. This is a great way to get your foot in the door and could lead to more opportunities in the newsroom.
