The Salina Post coverage footprint is large, and you will be integral in expanding our coverage into underserved communities. Salina has a busy court docket. Your beat, among other daily duties, will also include following important trials from start to finish. Video and photography skills will put you ahead of the pack. Your writing will not only be featured on Salina Post, but broader stories are often featured on many of Eagle's other Post sites throughout Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.

Experience:

Qualified candidates must have solid writing, news gathering and broadcast skills and be technically proficient with broadcast equipment and comfortable on the air. Knowledge of computers and digital platforms including social media is also necessary. Broadcast and written training are possible for the right candidate.



Requirements:

News reporting experience is preferred. Job responsibilities include all aspects of news coverage ranging from breaking news, local government, community features, crime and courts, and severe weather.
