Biography —
Fernanda Silva is a journalist who graduated from Faculdade Cásper Líbero, in São Paulo, Brazil, and post-graduated in Transmedia Audiovisual Production, Creation and Management at the same institution.
Currently, she is attending the Master of Science in Journalism (MSJ) program at the University of Kansas. Fernanda joined KU as GTA in Fall 2021. She also writes for the blog Entrelinhas, about women's soccer.
She has worked at ESPN Brasil, OlimpíadaTodo Dia, and TV Gazeta, as a producer and reporter. Working with sports for the last six years, Fernanda interviewed great Brazilian athletes, being Pelé, the "king of soccer," a highlight in her career.
Fernanda has also written stories for the education website Quero Bolsa, as a freelancer. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, she produced the health TV show "Plantão da Saúde," at TV Gazeta.
