Biography —

Michaella Barros fondly referred to as “Mica,” is currently a doctoral student and holds the role of a graduate teaching assistant at the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Kansas (KU). Her academic journey at KU commenced with successfully attaining her master's degree in Integrated Marketing Communications in the spring of 2023. Before her time at KU, Mica earned her bachelor's degree in Communications Arts from The University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines, providing her with a diverse and well-rounded educational foundation.
