Biography

Samuel Anesu Muzhingi is a Ph.D. student and graduate teaching assistant at the William Allen White School of Journalism and Mass Communications. He holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and media studies from the National University of Science and Technology in Zimbabwe and a Master of Arts degree in Communication with a focus on Development Communication from Daystar University in Kenya. His master’s thesis examined how digital platforms like iShamba improve agricultural extension services in Nyeri County, Kenya, by enhancing communication and access to essential agricultural information. He has professional experience in journalism, sub-editing, and communication and is a member of the Zimbabwe Media Commission (2024). His research interests encompass media representation, new media and digital cultures, mediated communication, climate change and science communication, and development journalism.
