Sales and Promotions Intern

• Semester-long internship in the Sales and Promotions departments of Great Plains Media in Lawrence (105.9 KISS FM, 1320 KLWN AM/101.7 FM and 92.9 The Bull)

• Class credit available

• Interviews will be held at the station for all students interested in this internship. One will be chosen for fall 2025

• Intern will work under the supervision of Warner Lewis, Director of Sports Marketing. As General Manger, Spike Santee will also help supervise

• Internship schedule determined by student's class requirements and station needs. All designed to provide a meaningful experience

• Intern will attend sales and promotion meetings, assist sales reps with proposals, client research, commercial copywriting and other duties as assigned

• They will go on selected outside sales calls and/or phone/video sales calls directly with clients or advertising agencies

• They will attend and assist station personnel with a wide variety of station promotions such as remotes from private businesses, sports event appearances like KU games, concert appearances, etc.

• intern will assist promotions and programming department from time to time with projects/assignments to help in those areas

• Intern is expected to be timely and ready to work when they arrive. Dress is business casual unless otherwise instructed

• Warner will be available for any reports or internship updates needed by KU
