Social Media and Publicity Intern


Non-profit organization, Pro Football Camp in Colorado Springs, offers hands-on internship. Pro Football Camp offers social media & publicity internships in the Spring/Summer. Intern will ideate, create and execute unique, innovative concepts for publication on PFC digital channels. Here’s a list of the various duties:

  • social media, e.g. handle all social media including content creation, video, posting, boosting and analysis for Pro Football Camp’s social media accounts including YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram

  • video content, e.g. maximize reach on Pro Football Camp’s YouTube account, create posts to share on PFC social media accounts to drive awareness, build the brand and drive camp sign- ups.

  • publicity, e.g. draft press releases and media alerts and pitch media

  • media relations, e.g. assist with all media relations leading up to and on-site at the Pro

    Football Camp and related activities (summer interns only)

    Candidate must be articulate, a great communicator and writer, detail-oriented, multi-tasker, a self- starter and a good problem solver. Candidate must possess a desire to help others, give back to the community, a knack for developing content, and some college course work in related to publicity or social media. Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Knowledge of game of football a plus, but not critical. The ideal person should be very familiar with social media platforms and have knowledge of how to use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube to reach consumers. Computer skills in Microsoft Office programs are needed. Ideally would like a candidate who also possesses basic graphic design skills or video skills, but not critical. Cover letter or resume should outline all skills candidate possesses, courses taken to demonstrate competency and what software programs they are efficient in utilizing.

    Intern can work remotely but for summer interns must be on-site mid-May to early June through June 30th to provide services on site for 2024 Pro Football Camp.
