Social Media and Video Intern

KC Dawgz, a Kansas City dog training company with locations in Overland Park, Olathe, and Gladstone, is hiring a paid social media and video intern now, with the goal of having someone start as soon as possible. It would be a great fit for students in Digital Marketing Communications, Multimedia Journalism, and Media Arts and Production.

Social Media & Video Content Intern (Paid)
• $15/hour, about 10-15 hours a week, scheduled around classes
• Start date: as soon as possible, with the option to continue through the spring semester
• Based at our Overland Park and Gladstone training facilities, with some editing done remotely
If a student wants to earn internship credit for the spring semester, KC Dawgz will work with KU.

What they'll do:
• Film and edit short vertical videos (Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook) of the dogs in our training programs: before-and-after transformations, quick training tips, and graduation days with their families
• Post and schedule content on our social accounts
• Help turn our best-performing videos into ads

What we're looking for:
• Comfortable shooting and editing on a phone or with tools like CapCut or Premiere
• A few examples of short-form video they've made (school projects or personal accounts count)
• Reliable and self-motivated. Liking dogs is a big plus, but no dog-handling experience is needed. Our trainers handle the dogs; the intern films.
