KINA, the broadcast leader in news/talk in Salina, KS, seeks a talented, energetic, Sports Reporter-Broadcaster to be the voice of a local college in Salina, KS and cover local high school and college sports in Saline and surrounding counties



Salary:

$27k to $40k



Compensation: 

Compensation is commensurate with experience along with a competitive benefits package including health insurance, 401(k), paid vacation and Employee Stock Ownership Plan.

The person we seek must have in depth knowledge of all sports; be able to tackle complex subjects and make them easily understandable to the public, be willing to look beyond the obvious in official meetings to find the stories others might overlook and be driven to make sports news come alive to the listener.

Responsibilities:

The position will fulfill assignments from the Sports Director, writing for broadcast and the web as well as producing audio-driven stories for broadcasts.

The position will also require someone able to create and produce videos that tell a compelling story which will attract listeners to our various social platforms.

The position would cover local and regional sports, including but not limited to coverage of professional teams of interest, i.e. Royals and Chiefs; produce and anchor all sportscasts as well as produce any sports coverage of general interest for the newscasts as well as sportscasts.
